Measuring for Halters
To work out the correct size for your animal, measure across the bridge of the nose where the halter will sit. This will give you the nose band width, which is the important part for selecting the correct size halter as this piece cannot be adjusted once made. You can also measure from where the nose band will sit around the poll (back of the head), behind the ears and back down to the other side of the nose band. This will give you the length of the head strap. The head strap is adjustable. We can custom make any components to fit, but once you have the nose band length most of our standard size halters will fit your animal.
Halters
Small Breed – Will fit most Calves from Newborn up to approximately 5 months.
Large Breed – Will fit most Calves from Newborn up to approximately 3 months.
Small Breed – Will fit most Weanlings from 3 months up to approximately 10 months.
Large Breed – Will fit most Young Cattle from 2 months up to approximately 5 months.
Small Breed – Will fit most Yearlings from 7 months up to approximately 18 months.
Large Breed – Will fit most Young Cattle from 4 months up to approximately 12 months.
Small Breed – Will fit most Cattle from about 15 months to a small adult Cow.
Large Breed – Will fit most Cattle from about 10 months up to approximately 15 months.
Small Breed – Will fit most mature Cows and young Bulls.
Large Breed – Will fit most Cattle from about 13 months up to a small adult Cow.
Small Breed – Will fit most mature Bulls.
Large Breed – Will fit most adult Cows & smaller, mature Bulls. For large mature Bulls, we can add extra length to the headpiece of your halter.

Small Breed – Will fit most young cattle from about 6 months.
Large Breed – Will fit most young cattle from about 4 months.
Small Breed – Will fit most cattle from 12 months to mature Cows.
Large Breed – Will fit most cattle from about 8 months to young Cows.
Small Breed – Will fit most mature Bulls.
Large Breed – Will fit most Cows & smaller Mature Bulls.
Small Breed – Will fit some larger mature Bulls.
Large Breed – Will fit most larger Cows & mature Bulls.

Orders are dispatched weekly however urgent orders can be sent within two working days. We can also express post (additional postage costs will apply).
