Cross Under Halter – Adjustable, Secure & Gentle for Small Livestock
The Cross Under Halter is ideal for goats, sheep, alpacas, llamas, calves and even ponies or mini donkeys. Made from 19 mm durable yet supple strapping, it sits softly across the animal’s nose while offering reliable handling.
The lead ring is positioned under the jaw, where the noseband crosses beneath, applying gentle pressure across the muzzle without tightening like a rope halter. The design promotes confident control while being kinder on the animal.
The halter features a fully adjustable head strap with buckle, ensuring it sits correctly on the head. The cross-under design also helps prevent the halter from being pulled over the animal’s ears, providing a more secure and comfortable fit.
Size guide
- Small – mini does and small breed ewes and lambs.
- Medium – does / ewes and small bucks.
- Large – larger breed does (e.g. nubian), ewes (eg dorper) and most bucks / rams.
- X Large – large bucks / rams and small calves.
